“Good morning Smadi, you are no longer mentally handicapped.”
Smadi was taken from her home when she was two years old and spent her childhood in educational special institutions for the mentally handicapped. When she grew up, she fought to lead an independent life. Now she is trying to prove to her family that she is challenged but certainly not retarded.
