insight from a life that has touched many others; a person who finds
satisfaction and joy from a job done well. “Mark” is a film
that will contrast our tendency to rush through life, while we ignore
beauty and fulfillment in the many instances that pass us by.
Filmmakers:
Kaith Chan
Born in Hong Kong in 1983 and immigrated to Canada at the age of 6,
Kaith grew up loving the art of drawing and building spaceships with
Legos. He studied Fine Arts at Dawson College in 2002, pursuing his
studies in art and enriching his creativity. Kaith is now in his 2nd
academic year at Concordia University in hopes of becoming a successful
filmmaker in animation.
Thomas
Kuchiran
Thomas’ experience with filmmaking has been brief as his original
passion was studio arts, which he studied at Concordia University in
2004. However, his fascination with filmmaking led Thomas to change
his focus. Now an animation student, Thomas is applying all of his studio
art skills to a frame-by-frame process. As a member of the Concordia
Stingers football team, Thomas also displays a unique blend of artistry,
creativity and athletic ability. He will have completed his B.F.A. by
the spring of 2008, and anticipates more filmmaking success in the near
future.
