The
year is 3168 and planet Earth is being threatened by the
planet Olvidan. Hope for a peaceful future lies in the hands
of the Karate Ruler.
This
video was shot in one day using people with developmental
disabilities for all the acting roles and narration. The
screenplay is based on a short story written by Jonathan
Nova, a person with developmental disabilities who also
stars in the title role.

Anthony
Di Salvo is the founder and Executive Director of Sprout.
He has worked with people with developmental disabilities
since 1979. He uses people with developmental disabilities
for all the major acting roles in all his videos.
Sprout’s
Make-A-Movie Program
The Make-A-Movie Program gives people with developmental
disabilities the opportunity to perform in a video.
Sprout
is a non-profit organization, founded in 1979, which offers
recreation and travel for teenagers and adults with mild
to moderate developmental disabilities. A year round program
of day, weekend and extended trips are offered. We serve
over 2000 people each year.
