Stephane Ginnsz, a 12-year-old actor with Down syndrome stars in Duo as "Stephan," a student in special education who falls in love with "Joan" (Eden Riegel), a young violinist. To communicate, he draws a picture for her. In exchange, she teaches him three notes of music, and Stephan starts to dream: one day he will be her accompanist.

Alexandre Ginnsz - writer/producer/director

Alexandre was a 19 year old student at NYU when he wrote Duo, his first film. 1996 Academy Awards: official entry (Student), Chicago International Children's Film Festival: finalist, Martin Scorsese Award: winner, WB Award: winner, Wasserman Award: winner (Best Cinematography), TASH Media Award: nominated, "for best promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life and reaching a national audience."

Stephane Ginnsz – actor

Commercial Work: "Too Much" - Featured (2002) and spec commercial for a perfume by Guerlain. Directed by Alexandre Ginnsz and produced by AGF.
Theater Work: Performed in two theater productions during High school, and was a member of the Walter Johnson High School Drama Club.

Eden Riegel - actor

Co-starring as the violinist is 12-year-old Eden Riegel, two-time Emmy Award nominee and star of the popular TV show "All My Children".
