A heart-warming love story between three childhood buddies; two girls, one born with Down syndrome, and one boy, who all grow up fighting who they are inside, how they are perceived by society as a whole, and who they ultimately strive to become as individuals through the obstacles that are inherently present. Mr. Blue Sky is a ground-breaking film that explores the romantic relationship of a woman born with Down syndrome and a "normal" male, as perceived by today's society. Mr. Blue Sky attempts to break down society's barriers, much like "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?" did in the 1960's, as it aims to "change lives" through "changing minds." Mr. Blue Sky is a story that will ultimately change the way society views all people as "individuals" first and foremost. The title is derived from a little girl's hope and love through the sun (Mr. Blue Sky.) director: Sarah Gurfield screenwriter & creative developer: Tom Lee Born on Long Island, New York and educated at SUNY at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Mathematics. His career extends from a classroom teacher working with children first-hand developing their mathematic skills and techniques, taking him to a very successful professional position in the Actuary Business. Both talents now join to create and hone a unique brand of talent that he finds necessary to fuel his screenwriting vocation-discipline, keen attentiveness, deep imagination and creativity, along with the forecasting ability to develop future scenarios that will appeal to an ever changing movie going audience. "The King " is his second script after "Mr. Blue Sky," which was hand selected from his team of industry, screen veteran advisors as the first of his four screenplays. His other works for the screen include "Images from Heaven" and "The Higher Power." You may check out the details of the film i.e. cast, crew and summary at www.imdb.com |
