A work in progress short. An extraordinary dance company is on a quest for their American debut. What makes this particular company unique? All of the dancers are mentally challenged, most with Down syndrome. With artistic brilliance, Anjali challenges the conventional expectations of people with intellectual disabilities, as well as our preconceptions of the dancer/artist …. disability is no limit to creativity or achievement. Because of the incredible success of Anjali’s European tours and outstanding press accolades, Anjali has now set its sites on America. Movin’ On Up is a work in progress short that will hopefully become a feature length documentary that will chronicle this journey, as well as the professional and personal lives of the company dancers.

Movin' On Up is a remarkable and spirited story, guided by a colorful cast of diverse characters that will inspire us as artists and more importantly, as human beings.
